Stone Age is a modern classic for a reason. It’s one of the best ways to introduce kids to 'worker placement' games without overwhelming them with 50-page rulebooks.

It’s tactile, satisfying, and actually teaches them how to plan three steps ahead. If your family is tired of games that rely 100% on luck, this is the upgrade you’re looking for. It’s aged remarkably well since 2008 and still feels fresh today.

While the box says 10+, an 8-year-old who has played Catan or Ticket to Ride can absolutely handle this with a little help on the first game.
