Skeleton Knight in Another World is a competent, visually sharp entry in the 'trapped in a game' genre, but it carries a heavy content warning. The protagonist, Arc, is a refreshing change of pace—he's optimistic, helpful, and doesn't take himself too seriously despite being a walking pile of bones.
However, the show suffers from a serious identity crisis. It wants to be a lighthearted fantasy romp one minute and a gritty commentary on the horrors of war and slavery the next. If your teen is already deep into anime like Overlord or That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, they'll know exactly what they're getting into, but parents should be aware of the 'safe' score penalty for that opening episode shocker.
