Senior Year is a classic 'mid' Netflix original. It's not going to win any awards, and it's certainly not a must-watch, but it's a harmless enough distraction if you're in the mood for some low-brow cringe comedy.
The real hook here isn't the plot—which is predictable from the first five minutes—but the contrast between the 'Mean Girls' era of 2002 and the 'woke' performative culture of 2022. It tries to make a point about being yourself, but it's mostly just an excuse for Rebel Wilson to do her thing in a cheerleader outfit.
