Sam Raimi is doing what he does best: taking a simple, terrifying premise and squeezing every drop of tension out of it. Send Help isn't a survival guide; it's a psychological horror movie that happens to be set on a beach.
If you're looking for a wholesome 'working together' story, look elsewhere. This is a gritty, unsettling, and occasionally dark-witted look at what happens when the social contract disappears. It's high-quality filmmaking for the horror-adjacent crowd, but keep the younger kids far away from this one.
