San Andreas is the cinematic equivalent of a giant bag of salty popcorn. It’s not nutritious, it’s definitely not realistic, but it’s undeniably fun to watch stuff blow up for two hours while Dwayne Johnson looks intensely at things.
It’s a safe bet for a family movie night with older kids who want action without the baggage of a complex cinematic universe. Just don't expect it to change anyone's life or pass a geology exam.
