Look, this is the definition of mediocre family comedy. Robin Williams is doing his best with material that wouldn't challenge a middle school improv troupe. The 23% critic score tells you everything: it's safe, it's forgettable, and it relies way too heavily on poop jokes.
Is it going to traumatize anyone? No. Will anyone remember watching it a week later? Also no. There are approximately 47 better family road trip movies you could watch instead (National Lampoon's Vacation for older kids, The Mitchells vs. The Machines for everyone, literally anything else).
If you're desperate for something to throw on during a rainy afternoon and you've exhausted every other option on two streaming services, sure, RV exists. But in 2025, this 2006 comedy feels like it's from 1996, and not in a charming nostalgic way.
