Psychonauts is a literal masterclass in world-building. If your kid is bored of generic shooters and repetitive sandbox loops, this is the antidote. It's weird, smart, and actually has something to say about how our brains work.
Even though it's a 2005 title, the art style has aged incredibly well, and the writing is sharper than 90% of what's released today. It’s the rare game that treats kids like they're smart enough to handle complex emotions while still letting them jump around with psychic fireballs.
