PLTW is the gold standard for school-based STEM because it treats kids like junior professionals rather than students. It’s not 'edutainment'—it’s actual work that happens to be incredibly engaging if your kid likes to figure out how the world is put together.
While it’s mostly a school-day experience, it’s worth advocating for if your district doesn't have it. It’s the rare educational tool that justifies the screen time because the screen is used for creation (designing, coding, simulating) rather than passive consumption or digital worksheets.
