PowerSchool is the app everyone loves to hate. It’s a massive, necessary utility that has fundamentally changed the student-parent dynamic. Before apps like this, you found out your kid was failing math in November; now, you know they missed a homework assignment by 3:15 PM on a Tuesday.
It’s not 'fun,' and it’s certainly not imaginative. It’s a digital ledger. But for the intentional parent, it's the best way to stay in the loop—provided you have the self-control not to text your kid the moment a B- drops in. Treat it like a weather app: check it to know if you need an umbrella, but don't let it ruin your whole day.
