PenPal Schools is basically the anti-social-media. Instead of chasing likes or watching influencers eat 10-pound burritos, kids are actually talking to each other about the world.
It’s safe because it’s transparent—no dark corners for weirdos to hide in. The only real downside is that it’s very 'academic.' It’s not something a kid is going to beg to do on a Saturday morning, but as a guided activity, it’s one of the best ways to use a screen.
If you want your kid to realize the world doesn't end at the neighborhood park, this is a solid win.
