Peak takes the high-stakes, physics-driven climbs of punishing single-player games and turns them into an excellent cooperative challenge. Up to four players crash-land on a mysterious island and must climb a giant, procedurally shifting mountain using pitons, ropes, and strict stamina management. Slapstick ragdoll physics ensure that when things go wrong, the resulting cascade is usually funny rather than upsetting.
The real friction point is social. Public lobbies feature open proximity voice chat, which brings all the standard risks of unmoderated audio from online strangers. Keeping your kid in private co-op sessions with actual friends eliminates that risk while preserving a great team-building experience.
