Look, Outside the Wire had potential. Android officer! Drone warfare ethics! Near-future military tech! But Netflix delivered a paint-by-numbers action flick that critics rightfully dragged (37% on RT, 5.4 on IMDb). The violence is sustained and intense—definitely not for younger teens—and the philosophical questions it raises are never explored with any depth.
If you've got a 16-year-old who's into military sci-fi and you want to have a conversation about drone warfare afterward, fine. But honestly? There are way better movies that tackle AI ethics (Ex Machina) or war's moral complexity (1917, Dunkirk). This one's just loud, forgettable, and kind of a waste of Anthony Mackie.
Skip it unless you're really desperate for something on Netflix and have already watched everything else.
