Look, as a piece of kitschy nostalgia, this is a fun $15 purchase to play once or twice for the laughs. As an actual game? It's pretty terrible.
It captures the 'you have died' spirit of the original computer game a little too well, meaning it's almost entirely based on luck. You'll draw a card, you'll die, and you'll write a name on a tombstone. If you want a solid family game night, there are a hundred better cooperative games (like Forbidden Island). If you want to laugh at how unfair life was in the 19th century while drinking a beer or a soda, this works fine.
