Beyond the Taboo
Mainstream Bollywood rarely takes on sexual health with this much conviction. OMG 2 could have easily devolved into cheap jokes, but it chooses a path of advocacy instead. The film follows Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devout shopkeeper whose world collapses when his son is expelled for what the school calls 'vulgar behavior.'
Instead of the son being the villain, the movie correctly identifies the lack of education as the real problem. Akshay Kumar’s character acts as a nudge from the divine, not solving the problems with a miracle, but forcing Kanti to use his own brain and the legal system to demand better for his kid.
The Courtroom as a Classroom
The second half of the film is largely a courtroom drama. It is where the movie shines, systematically dismantling the arguments that sex ed 'corrupts' youth. It uses ancient Indian texts to argue that the current taboo is actually a modern, Victorian hang-up rather than a traditional one.
For a 2026 audience, the pacing holds up well. It is colorful, the music is integrated effectively, and the performances are grounded. If your teen is starting to ask questions about social norms or if you're looking for a way to talk about the 'big stuff' without the cringe, this is your pick. Just be ready for the masturbation plotline to be front and center—it is the catalyst for the entire story.
