NoRedInk is the 'spoonful of sugar' approach to grammar. It takes the most tedious part of ELA—mechanics and sentence structure—and makes it tolerable by letting kids work with content they care about. It’s a solid, safe, and effective way to build writing confidence without the usual classroom drama.
That said, it's still a screen-based exercise. If your kid is already drowning in school-mandated laptop time, this is one more hour of staring at a glowing rectangle. It's high-quality screen time, but it’s not a substitute for sitting down with a notebook or having a real conversation about a book.
