myLexia isn't something your kid 'plays'—it's the back-end system their teacher uses to watch them work. While the underlying Lexia programs (Core5 and PowerUp) are solid for building decoding skills, they are the definition of 'digital worksheets.'
It’s perfectly safe and developmentally appropriate, but it carries a high 'boredom tax.' If your school mandates it, use it as a supplement for decoding practice, but don't let it replace the rich, high-comprehension work of reading actual books together.
