It’s a solid choice for building reading confidence, but let’s be real: most kids in 2026 will probably prefer the graphic novel versions of these stories which have way more visual punch.

Note: If you were looking for the 2024 book 'Monster Hands' about American Sign Language and shadow puppets, that’s a completely different (and much more modern/inclusive) title you should definitely check out instead.
