Mirror Mirror is perfectly safe and has decent messages about courage and self-worth, but let's be real: it's aggressively mediocre.
With a 50% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 5.6 on IMDb, this is the Snow White movie that came out in 2012 and immediately got overshadowed. The costumes are pretty, Julia Roberts chews scenery as the evil queen, and younger kids who are really into princess stories might enjoy it once. But it's not memorable, not particularly funny, and not engaging enough to rewatch.
If you need a safe, inoffensive fairy tale for a rainy afternoon and you've already exhausted the Disney catalog, sure, throw this on. But don't expect anyone to be talking about it afterward. It's the definition of 'fine'—which in the world of family entertainment is actually kind of a miss.
