If you recall 2012 television, you might remember Nickelodeon trying to turn Fred Figglehorn creator Lucas Cruikshank into a prime-time sitcom lead. Marvin Marvin was the result: a standard alien-in-suburbia comedy built almost entirely around screaming, physical gags, and heavy laugh tracks.
It isn't dangerous or inappropriate, but it is undeniably tough to watch. The show burns through the same core joke repeatedly—Marvin doesn't understand Earth, shrieks loudly, and eats something gross—before running out of gas. Nickelodeon canceled it after a single 20-episode season for good reason.
Unless your kid has an intense curiosity about early YouTube creator history, skip it. There are dozens of live-action family comedies from the same decade that hold up significantly better.
