Look, this one's rough. LEGO Friends for 3DS is perfectly safe—no violence, no sketchy monetization, just wholesome friendship vibes. But it's also painfully boring.
The game commits the cardinal sin of being a LEGO title with zero building mechanics. Instead, you get repetitive fetch quests, shallow mini-games, and dress-up activities that grow stale fast. Even reviewers who wanted to like it called it a "squandered opportunity" and "cynical." The Metacritic 43/100 tells the story.
If your 6-year-old is obsessed with the LEGO Friends toy line and begs for this, fine—it won't hurt them. But don't expect them to play it for long. There are far better games that deliver both safety AND actual fun. This one's a pass unless you find it in a bargain bin and have a very specific, very young LEGO Friends superfan on your hands.
