Look, this is a 2015 direct-to-video LEGO DC movie that exists primarily to sell toys. The ratings (6.2 IMDb, 2.9 Letterboxd, 65% RT audience) tell you everything: it's competent, safe, mildly entertaining, and utterly forgettable.
The LEGO DC movies have a formula—blocky heroes fight blocky villains with slapstick humor and teamwork lessons—and this one follows it dutifully without adding anything special. It's not bad, it's just... there. Your 7-year-old will probably enjoy it once, maybe twice if they really love Batman or Superman.
The good news? It's completely safe, appropriately wholesome, and you can throw it on HBO Max without a second thought. The bad news? There are better LEGO movies (The LEGO Movie, LEGO Batman) and better DC content for kids. This is filler—perfectly acceptable filler, but filler nonetheless.
If your kid is begging for it or you need 77 minutes of guaranteed-appropriate content, go for it. Just don't expect anyone to be quoting it at dinner or asking to watch it for the fifteenth time.
