Despite the 'Radio Science' title, this kit is a deep dive into biology and hygiene. It’s a classic Klutz win: it takes something kids are already obsessed with (gross stuff) and sneaks in a high-quality science lesson.
It’s tactile, hands-on, and a great break from screens. Just be prepared for your kid to try and show you their 'petri dish germs' during dinner. It’s educational, safe, and just weird enough to keep a middle-schooler engaged for a rainy afternoon.
Best for ages 8–12. Younger kids will need help with the petri dishes, and older teens might find the 'booger' theme a little juvenile, though the science remains solid.
It leans into the 'gross-out' factor that kids love without being mean-spirited. It uses 'boogers' and 'snot' as a hook for genuine biological curiosity and hygiene education.
