Kaalakaandi is a messy, neon-drenched fever dream that tries to be the Indian version of a Guy Ritchie or Quentin Tarantino flick. It doesn't always land—the 50% critic score is a fair warning—but it's a wild ride if you're in the mood for something gritty.
It’s definitely not for family night. This is a movie about a man having a mid-life (or end-of-life) crisis involving acid and Mumbai goons. If you like your comedies dark and your protagonists questionable, it's worth a look after the kids are in bed.
