I Am Going is a solid, no-frills educational tool that actually manages to be a game. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel—it’s a race from point A to point B—but by grounding that race in the geography of Africa and South America, it offers something most other 'travel' games miss.
It’s not going to win any awards for deep storytelling or complex systems, but if you want your kid to know where Luanda or Quito is without making them stare at a textbook, this is a much better use of forty-five minutes than another round of Monopoly.
