Brad Meltzer has this series down to a science. It’s the total opposite of those dry, dusty biographies we had to endure in the 90s. It’s colorful, punchy, and treats kids like they’re smart enough to handle real-life grit.
If your kid thinks art is 'boring' or history is just a list of dates, this is the corrective. It’s a high-quality, engaging read that manages to be deeply moving without being a total downer. It’s a staple for any home library that values character over just 'achievements.'
