How Ridiculous is exactly what it sounds like: three likable Australian guys dropping heavy objects from extreme heights to see what happens. It's wholesome, genuinely entertaining, and sneakily educational—your kid is learning about physics while watching a giant dart puncture a trampoline.
The good news: the content is clean, the hosts are positive role models, and the 'wow' factor is real. The less-good news: it's YouTube crack for kids. One video becomes five becomes twenty, and before you know it, they've watched an hour of things falling and breaking. The format is repetitive, and while the first few videos spark curiosity and conversation, it eventually becomes passive entertainment.
The massive subscriber base means the comments section is the Wild West, so keep younger viewers away from scrolling. But as far as YouTube channels go, this is one of the better options—you could do a lot worse than physics experiments conducted by enthusiastic adults who clearly enjoy each other's company. Just set a timer.
