This is the opposite of brain rot. If your kid is stuck in a loop of loud, bright YouTube shorts, Hilda is the ultimate palate cleanser. It’s quiet, thoughtful, and incredibly smart.
Luke Pearson has created a world that feels as lived-in and magical as anything from Studio Ghibli. It’s one of those rare books that makes a kid want to put down the tablet and go explore a forest (or at least the weeds in the backyard) to look for hidden creatures.
