Heinemann is the 'office software' of the elementary classroom. It’s built on solid reading science—specifically the comprehension and vocabulary strands of the Reading Rope—but it’s not exactly a thrill ride for the student.
If your kid's school uses their digital platforms, you're looking at a safe, ad-free environment that prioritizes data and tracking. It’s great for identifying if a kid is struggling with decoding, but it won't be the thing that makes them fall in love with reading. Use it as the diagnostic tool it is, then go buy them a real book they actually want to read.
