Most series spin-offs feel like a lazy cash grab, but this one actually has something to say. Harold and Hog aren't just clones of Gerald and Piggie; they're kids trying to live up to an 'ideal' and failing hilariously.
It’s a great lesson in 'you do you' without being preachy or annoying. If your kid is obsessed with Mo Willems, this is the natural next step. It’s smart, visually great, and won't make you want to hide the book under the couch after the tenth read-through.
