Look, Halloweentown High is the movie equivalent of cafeteria pizza—technically food, not going to hurt anyone, but nobody's writing home about it.
This third installment in the Halloweentown franchise feels like Disney Channel ran out of ideas but still had a contract to fulfill. The premise (magical teens attend mortal high school) could work, but the execution is so cheap and formulaic that it's hard to stay engaged. The tolerance message is fine but delivered with zero nuance—it's basically 'don't judge people who look different' stretched to 82 minutes.
The real question for 2025 parents: will your kids actually watch this? If they're already Halloweentown fans, maybe. But showing this to kids raised on Pixar, Spider-Verse, and high-production streaming content feels like asking them to eat plain oatmeal when they're used to açai bowls. The Letterboxd rating of 2.8/5 tells you everything—even people with nostalgia goggles struggle with this one.
It's safe, it's wholesome enough, but it's also just... there. Like a participation trophy in movie form.
