Ghosts is that rare network sitcom that actually feels smart. It takes a dark concept—being trapped in the place you died for eternity—and turns it into a warm, genuinely funny exploration of human (and ghost) nature. It’s a great 'bridge' show for families moving out of cartoons and into more complex live-action comedies.

While it deals with death every single episode, it’s never macabre. It’s more about the annoyance of having roommates you can’t get rid of. If your kid has a decent grasp of history or just likes fast-talking characters, this is a winner.
