Ghost Soldier builds on a well-worn blueprint: a quiet recluse with lethal military credentials gets dragged back into conflict to save his neighbors. The twist here is Fitz's background as an advanced weapons developer, trading pure martial arts brawling for experimental tech and tactical traps.
It is straightforward, formulaic popcorn entertainment. Expect plenty of gunplay, tactical gear, and bad guys getting cleared out room by room. It won't prompt deep reflection, but for a Friday night movie with an older kid who loves military hardware, it delivers standard genre thrills.
