Fire Emblem Engage is basically a Saturday morning cartoon wrapped around a PhD-level strategy game. If your kid liked the previous game, Three Houses, for its gritty political drama, they might find this one a bit shallow or 'cringe.'
However, purely as a game, it’s fantastic. It’s colorful, clean, and skips the gore, making it a safe bet for the middle-school crowd. It’s a great way to sneak some critical thinking and logic into their screen time without it feeling like 'educational' software. Just be prepared to hear a lot about 'Divine Dragons' and magic rings.
