Donut County is one of those indie darlings that justifies its hype. The premise sounds ridiculous—you're literally a hole eating trash—but the execution is chef's kiss. It's funny without being obnoxious, clever without being pretentious, and short enough that it doesn't overstay its welcome.
The physics puzzles are genuinely satisfying (there's something deeply pleasing about figuring out the right order to swallow objects), and the story has just enough heart to make you care about the quirky cast. Yes, it's only 2-3 hours long, but that's actually a feature for busy families—kids can finish it in a weekend and feel accomplished.
From a WISE perspective, it checks all the boxes: wholesome humor, creative gameplay, zero safety concerns, and enough brain-tickling to justify screen time. It won't change your kid's life, but it'll give them a memorable, well-crafted gaming experience that reminds them not everything needs to be Fortnite or Minecraft.
Solid pick for puzzle-loving kids or families looking for something different to play together.
