Look, it’s Wimpy Kid #18. At this point, you know if your kid likes Greg Heffley or not. It’s not 'prestige' literature, but it’s a heck of a lot better than most of the 'brain rot' they could be consuming on YouTube.
It’s fast, it’s genuinely funny, and it actually has something to say about the state of modern schools. If it gets a kid to put down the tablet and laugh at a book for an hour, it’s a massive win in my book.
Perfect for the 8-12 crowd. It's the sweet spot where the humor lands and the school setting feels relevant. Older teens might find it nostalgic, but they've likely moved on to more complex themes.
