Diablo IV is a technical and artistic triumph, but it is also a dark, visceral grind-fest. It’s the kind of game that’s incredible to play with your 17-year-old if you both have the stomach for it, but it's a nightmare for anyone younger.
Between the intense gothic horror and the live-service hooks designed to keep you playing forever, it demands a high level of digital intentionality. If you’re going in, go in for the deep RPG mechanics, but keep a sharp eye on the clock and the credit card.
