Demolition Man is peak '90s action—Stallone and Snipes hamming it up in a future where everything is sanitized and Taco Bell reigns supreme. The world-building is more creative than it has any right to be, and there's legitimate satire about freedom versus safety buried under the explosions.
But let's be real: this is R-rated through and through. Violence, language, sexual content, and enough cheese to clog your arteries. The three seashells joke is iconic, but the rest of the humor is hit-or-miss, and some of it hasn't aged well.
For older teens who like retro action or are doing a '90s movie marathon, this could be a fun watch. For everyone else, it's pretty skippable. The WISE score reflects that it's entertaining enough for its target audience but definitely not family-friendly and increasingly dated.
