Dark Reader is a fantastic tool for the seasoned fanfiction reader. It solves the 'my eyes are bleeding at 2 AM' problem with a beautiful interface and no annoying ad breaks.
However, as a parent, you need to understand that this isn't just a 'reading app' like Kindle. It's a direct pipeline to a site where users can publish anything—and we mean anything. If your teen is mature enough to navigate AO3's tagging system and knows how to hit the 'back' button when things get weird, this is a great utility. If they're still in the 'Percy Jackson is my favorite' phase, maybe stick to the physical books for now.
