Here's the deal: Creature Commandos is probably good at what it does—James Gunn knows how to make entertaining misfit-squad stories with heart buried under the gore. The reviews are solid, the concept is creative, and if you're into dark superhero stuff, you'll likely enjoy it.
But let's be crystal clear: this is NOT a kids show. The fact that it's animated doesn't change that it's violent, graphic, and designed for mature audiences. Common Sense says 14+, but I'd push that to 16+ unless your teen is already deep into mature superhero content.
If you've got a high schooler who loved The Boys or Invincible and wants more dark superhero stories, this could be a good watch-together option. Just know you're signing up for gore, moral ambiguity, and probably some uncomfortable moments. For everyone else? Skip it until they're older.
