Look, Cory in the House is perfectly safe—it's Disney Channel at its most sanitized. But let's be real: this show was mediocre in 2007 (hence the 5/10 IMDb rating), and it has aged like milk.
The laugh track, the broad physical comedy, the predictable plots—it all feels like a relic from a different era of children's television. The White House setting had potential, but the show squanders it on recycled sitcom plots about Cory trying to impress girls or make money through increasingly improbable schemes.
If your kid stumbles across it and enjoys it, fine—it won't hurt them. But there's no reason to actively seek this out in 2025 when there are so many better options. Even Disney Channel has evolved significantly since then. This is nostalgia viewing only, and even then, you might be disappointed by how it holds up.
