This is a movie made for parents who grew up in the 90s, dressed up in a kid-friendly package. The meta-humor, Hollywood satire, and endless IP cameos are clever enough to earn decent reviews, but let's be real: most kids under 10 will be checking their tablets halfway through.
The friendship-repair storyline is nice, and the visual creativity is genuinely impressive, but the enrichment factor is pretty thin. It's cotton candy—enjoyable in the moment, but not particularly nourishing.
If you're a parent who loved the original show and wants a nostalgia hit you can share with your kids, go for it. If you're looking for something that will genuinely captivate and engage your children, there are better options. It's fine. It's Disney+. It exists.
