This isn't just a lazy movie tie-in meant to cash in on a blockbuster. Liza Palmer actually gives Carol Danvers a personality that feels earned through sweat and frustration.
It’s a grounded, smart prequel that focuses on the 'human' part of the superhero. If your kid is a Marvel fan, this is a great way to transition them from the screen to the page. It’s safe, it’s got a brain, and it actually has something to say about grit.
