Look, this is peak early-2000s Disney Channel Original Movie territory: wholesome, predictable, and forgettable. Hilary Duff plays a 'hyperactive' artsy teen who gets enrolled in military school and—spoiler alert—learns discipline and finds her place on the drill team. Shocking, right?
The good news: it's completely safe, age-appropriate, and has positive messages about perseverance and respecting authority. The bad news: it's boring. Even by DCOM standards, this one is formulaic. The audience scores (49% on Rotten Tomatoes, 5.5 on IMDb) tell the story—even people who loved DCOMs as kids don't really love this one.
Unless your kid is deeply into Hilary Duff, military school stories, or you're on a nostalgia binge, there are way better options on Disney+. It won't hurt them to watch it, but it probably won't hold their attention either. Save it for a sick day when they've already burned through everything else.
