Bunnicula is one of those rare 70s gems that hasn't lost its punch. While a lot of books from this era feel slow and outdated, this one moves fast because the 'vampire rabbit' hook is just objectively funny.
It’s safe, it’s smart, and it treats kids like they're in on the joke. It's not going to change their lives, but it’ll definitely make them laugh at a white zucchini. If you're looking for a read-aloud that won't make you want to fall asleep, this is it.
