Bruno is the more aggressive, neon-clad younger brother to Borat. While it shares the same DNA of 'trick the rubes into being terrible on camera,' it leans much harder into sexual shock value. It’s a polarizing film that even fans of Sacha Baron Cohen find difficult to revisit because it hits the 'cringe' button so relentlessly.
For a parent, this is a hard pass for family night. It’s a movie designed to push buttons, and most of those buttons involve content that is way outside the realm of what’s appropriate for minors. If you’re into social experiments that involve a lot of spandex and even more male nudity, save it for when the kids are at sleepaway camp.
