Baymax! is exactly what it looks like: a sweet, safe, uncomplicated series about a robot who gives hugs and solves problems. It's comfort viewing for little kids who loved Big Hero 6.
The critic/audience score gap tells you everything—this is thoughtfully made and genuinely kind, but it's also pretty thin. Six short episodes of Baymax helping people with cat rescues, stubbed toes, and yes, getting someone period supplies. It's educational in the gentlest possible way.
The puberty episode is actually a highlight for progressive parents looking for age-appropriate ways to introduce these topics, but it also became a minor culture war flashpoint, so heads up on that.
Bottom line: This is a perfectly fine show for 4-7 year olds. It won't change anyone's life, but it also won't rot any brains. Put it on when you need 30 minutes of guaranteed-safe content that might actually teach your kid to be kinder. Just don't expect anyone over 8 to sit through it willingly.
