If your kid is aging out of the bright, punchy cartoons and starting to appreciate movies like Knives Out or The Batman (2022), this is the perfect bridge. It’s atmospheric, smart, and respects the viewer's intelligence.
It doesn't pander. It assumes you can follow a year-long timeline and multiple crime families. While it’s definitely too dark for the elementary school set, it’s one of the best animated DC projects of the last decade for everyone else.
