Attack on Titan is a modern classic, but don't let the 'book' or 'comic' label fool you into thinking it's for kids. It’s a brutal, high-stakes political thriller wrapped in a horror skin.

It’s incredibly rewarding for older teens who can handle the gore because it actually has something to say about the world. It’s not just violence for the sake of violence; it’s a study of how humans react when they’re backed into a corner.

If your teen is into deep lore and doesn't mind a bit of trauma with their entertainment, this is a must-read. Just maybe don't read it right before dinner.
