If you’re looking for the fun jukebox musical where Juliet survives and dances to Katy Perry, keep walking—this isn't it. This is the traditional 2014 adaptation of the tragedy. It’s the 'everyone dies' version.
It’s excellent for academic prep or for a kid who loves high drama and theater, but it's a heavy watch. The double suicide at the end is the defining moment of the play, so make sure your kid is in the right headspace for a story that prioritizes tragedy over a feel-good resolution.
