This is a solid, no-frills nonfiction pick. It doesn't try to be a 'story'; it just gives kids the goods on what turkeys actually do all day. If you have a kid who is obsessed with animals or you're looking for something to ground the Thanksgiving hype in some actual biology, this is a great library grab.
It won't win any awards for groundbreaking narrative, but Hope Aicher knows her audience. The 'My Incredible World' series is reliable for being clear, bright, and informative without the filler.
